Vox Media activist Carlos Maza is demanding that Steven Crowder be removed from YouTube. The video hosting platform has demonetized his content, but his channel still remains. Maza is doing this because he claims that Crowder has targeted him, and that he is being harassed by Crowder’s fans because of it.
Meanwhile, content creators who are in no way responsible for the situation at hand are affected. Independent journalists and other content creators have been demonetized. Historical channels have had some of their content removed, content that has been said to be difficult to find. What is this coming to, and where does it stop? The battle for censorship is getting out of hand, and the situation ironically escalated during the week of the 75th anniversary of D-Day.
